About Us

Raven and Avi were born and raised in the pacific northwest and have held a deep respect and admiration for the animals we share this planet with their entire lives. Avi grew up on a dairy goat farm while Raven spent her time with horses, both developing deep connections with the pets and livestock they spent their time with. Having lived in these environments and with access to woodland it was second nature to collect trinkets from the world around them consisting of bones, feathers and the like for their own personal collection; little did they know what this would lead to. They would both go on to pursue degrees with focus on the natural world and the environment, with Raven studdying environmental science and criminal justice and Avi having studied art and biology. Despite spending most of their life in a spooky level of parallell they did not come together (and fall in love – awww) until 2017, around the same time CandidCoyote was formed. CandidCoyote became a way to share a personal hobby with the world, fostering education and returning beloved animals to their families. The philosophy behind CandidCoyote is to bring continued meaning, life and value to the animals that no longer share this plane of being with us. Just because they are gone does not mean their beauty and value must be forgotten. We are honored to have the knowledge and skill to preserve the significance of the natural world and share that with those around us.
